Self-Portrait of an eye, shot by Natalie Kardos

Shot in color, converted to LAB mode with Photoshop to make some adjustments to the lightness curve, and then finally converted to greyscale. This is actually one of the only portrait shots I’ve taken, and one of the only shots of me that anyone’s ever taken, that I really like. Nevermind the pores and the stray eyebrow hairs. And don’t get me started on my retardedly long eyelashes…

If you look closely, you can see a reflection of my camera with its shoe-mounted flash and a can of Pepsi in my pupil. I guess if eyes really are the window to the soul, mine aren’t that far off…
