I shouldn’t really like this photo. It’s soft. The microphone is in an unfortunate position. I had to convert to black and white because of stupid red lights.

But to me, it captures the moment exactly. Those 2o or so minutes listening to the Hold Steady play a mellow, acoustic set. Totally at odds with their normally crazy live performances.

So yeah, I like it.
