Photos: Coachella Day One
After all the craziness that was Les Savy Fav, I felt the need to get out of the sun to reapply some sunscreen and make my way to the Mojave tent for Jens Lekman.
And man, what a change of pace. I’ve never seen Jens Lekman before but had heard that he was great live. And he definitely lived up to my expectations. His voice sounded crisp and clear, and even though he had to stop “The Opposite of Hallelujah” a few bars in to figure out the problem with the keyboard (it had to be plugged in), everything they played sounded amazing. I was pretty bummed that I couldn’t hang out for their whole set, but I had to go catch Cut Copy in the Gobi Tent.
