In other news regarding San Diego bands getting noticed in places other than San Diego, Phillyist has named Grand Ole Party one of their Top Ten Bands Discovered in 2007.

I also discovered them (or at least, first saw them live) in 2007. At a house party where I also first heard of The Muslims. Now that – that was a good night.
