I feel like doing cartwheels on library walk…

This feels like summer vacation. This feels like liberation.

In a couple minutes, I’m leaving work to go hit up the Bio Picnic for some lunch. Then home to run around like a chicken with my head cut off for a few hours while I get all the last minute details organized.

Tomorrow at 10:30AM I’m on a plane to Seattle. Shit.

Met with Karl (my pseudo-boss) today about some experiments I did whose results didn’t make sense (they never do). He said the magic words: “I’ll run some experiments while you’re gone to try to figure out what’s going on.” Dunno if this is actually going to happen, but who cares? I don’t have to think about ANYTHING science related for the next 2.5 weeks.

Especially not about the fact that I could walk away from grad school with a terminal master’s degree, get a job as a lab technician, and make $40-50K/year. Compared to the $26,500 I make now. Yeah. Definitely won’t be thinking about THAT while I’m gone.
