Another day full of hiking. This one got off to a slightly later start, as we were all recouping from the Angel’s Landing hike the day before. Also, it rained overnight, and I’m happy to report that my tent did not leak a single drop.

We decided to tackle the Hidden Canyon trail in the morning, which was a bit more strenuous than I had expected. Also, more chains on the trail (to hold onto so you didn’t fall).

The views were once again phenomenal, before the trail headed deep into the hidden canyon. There was also a rare rock arch.

We paused here for lunch, then headed back down after we felt a few raindrops. The sky soon cleared, however, and we did the short half-mile hike to Weeping Rock.

Then we decided to hike to the Emerald Pools (all three of them) via the Kayenta Trail. Possibly one of the best decisions of my life. The view was absolutely gorgeous.

Then we hit the Emerald Pools – first the middle, then the upper, then the lower (and then underneath the lower pools).

The rest of the Lower Emerald Pool trail back to the shuttle stop was the perfect way to say goodbye to the park.
