I headed down to the Casbah this night to hang out with friends and enjoy FM94/9’s free end-of-the-month local showcase. The only band I ended up taking photos of was Brian Holwerda (of The Blackout Party), playing some solo material.
Yes, that’s the drummer playing suitcases, rather than drums. Made for quite an interesting sound. If you’re at all interested in folk/country music, you should check out Brian either solo or playing with The Blackout Party.
