The Worst Science Stories of 2007 – STATS Dubious Data Awards

Sigh. I feel like most of these stories are at least in part due to lazy journalism. Either get your journalists to do their job correctly (verifying stories and digging up facts, not just regurgitating what they’re told), or hire some journalists that actually understand science and statistics. And, if you have to correct an error in reporting, spend as much time on the correction as you did on the initial (incorrect) story.
